Paul Simm, the bursar of Trinity College has confirmed that we can use the Trinity sports pavilion and playing fields for the "birthday party". Very kind of them.

Had a great meeting with Cambridge Student Community Action. They will be rounding up all the children (40 or so, age 8-12) for the "birthday party" on April 13th and providing several volunteer helpers. They also CRB checked me. Hope I pass :)

More support... Pizza Express Jesus Lane have offered free pizzas for lunch. Rebecca "Cup Cake" Mason of Daisycakes Cambridge will be making personalised cupcakes. Isamaya Ffrench (leading facepaint artist) will be facepainting, Matt Perry, head of PE at Rokeby School in Stratford, is in charge of fun and games.

Looking for the following support: sponsor for treasure hunt prizes and goody bags, trained lifeguard to accompany the punt race, drivers with cars.

Punt race. The punters at Quayside have offered to organise the punt race. Would be fun to split the children into teams, maybe theme each team? Get the punters to dress up?

We so far have the following support: Trinity College are providing the venue. Peter Savino (best cafe in Cambridge, by the bus station) will turn up with his ice cream van to hand out free ice creams!

Party Plan 1: Tuesday 13th April 2010 11 am to 3/4pm Day Out in the style of a birthday party for 40 or do children sent by Cambridge Student Community Action. Punt race in 6 teams from Quayside to Trinity. Lots of foolery and cheating. Stroll to Trinity's sports pavilion for big party
